Who’s Seavon Dehumidifier For?
Seavon brand offers a ton of small to large-sized dehumidifiers for home, office, RV, and more. For example, if you want a small dehumidifier, then a Seavon dehumidifier of 1000ml is perfect for you. It is also known as the Seavon dehumidifier SN150 model. On the other hand, if you have a big house, get the Seavon dehumidifier 2200.
But in this section of the Seavon dehumidifier review, I will tell you who should get the Seavon SN180 dehumidifier.
The Seavon SN180 dehumidifier is compact in size, lightweight, and offers noise-free operation. Together, these qualities make this dehumidifier perfect for small spaces such as RVs, bedrooms, and small kitchens.
On top of that, the water tank capacity (70 oz.) is massive in comparison to its extraction rate (26 oz.) It means that it needs to be emptied only once every three days. So, you can put it in a room you do not use that often, such as storerooms and garages.
However, if you own a huge garage, the extraction rate would not suit you. So, check out the RV Dehumidifier guide for more garage dehumidifier recommendations.

Seavon SN180 Dehumidifier Reviews
In this section of the Seavon dehumidifier review, I will discuss the features and design impression of the SN180 dehumidifier.
Design Impressions
Just like my Seavon dehumidifier review, this design impression will be honest as well.
After taking the Seavon SN180 dehumidifier out of the box, the first thing that I noticed was how classy it looked. Unlike most other dehumidifiers on the market, the SN180 has a very sharp design. And due to its neutral color, it is easy to blend in with your interior.
The air vents are at the side of the dehumidifier, and the exhaust is at the back. The Seavon SN180 dehumidifier weighs only 4.8 pounds and can quickly move around the house. The exact dimensions are 16.5 x 9.8 x 7.5 inches. Due to the small size of the SN180, I recommend it for RVs.
Remote controller
The feature that lit my curiosity about this dehumidifier in the first place was the remote controller. I have seen a lot of home appliances with remote controllers before. But dehumidifiers with remote controllers are still pretty uncommon.
So, what can you do with the Seavon SN180 dehumidifier remote controller?
- It helps to turn on/off the dehumidifier.
- You can use it to change the speed of the dehumidifier.
- Lastly, it can switch the dehumidifier to light mode.
The range of this remote controller is ten meters which are pretty good for a dehumidifier.
Noise level
One of my biggest pet peeves about dehumidifiers is the noise level. If the noise level is too high, I cannot focus on anything else.
Luckily, the Seavon SN180 dehumidifier is as quiet as it gets. This dehumidifier has a 35dB noise level rating. For comparison, anything below 50dB is considered quiet.
So, in other words, the SN180 offers an ultra-quiet operation. You can run it in your bedroom at night and will not even notice any noise.
Dehumidification level
This section is about every dehumidification-related specification of SN180.
The Seavon SN180 dehumidifier is suitable for dehumidifying 560 sq. ft. or below area. Due to 4th generation upgraded thermoelectric technology can remove around 26 oz. of moisture from the air every day. However, it is 70 oz. You only need to empty the water tank once every 2-3 days.
The working temperature for the SN180 is 59 °F – 104 °F. And it will not work under 50°F. Hence, I do not recommend this dehumidifier for winter.
Seavon SN180 Dehumidifier Real Testing
The following are three real-life examples of the Seavon SN180 dehumidifier.
Seavon Dehumidifier Test #1
I have a small storage area for Christmas supplies, paperwork, foam, fabric, batting, etc. Due to lack of space, I wanted a dehumidifier that is easy to fit in the room. But when I got the Seavon SN180 out of its packaging, I wasn’t sure if it would work well at all. But to my surprise, the Seavon SN180’s tiny body is filled with great features. Not only does the dehumidifier work as advertised. And the water tank container lid prevents spillage. And as this Seavon dehumidifier is compact and lightweight, I can quickly move it around without any difficulty.
Seavon Dehumidifier Test #2
I live in Texas, and the humidity gets extremely high, especially in summers. So, I decided to buy the Seavon mini dehumidifier for my bedroom and the larger one for my living room. If any dehumidifier deserves to be called groundbreaking, it must be the Seavon SN180. The remote control feature has made my life easier. And as this dehumidifier is smaller, I can move it around the house whenever I want.
Seavon Dehumidifier Test #3
My room is built on a concrete slab, and it gets humid in the summers. However, as the room is small, I did not want to install a large dehumidifier that takes space. The Seavon SN180 caught my eyes, but I was hesitant to buy it because the product was out of my budget. However, it has been one of my favorite purchases this year. This dehumidifier reduces the humidity level faster and removes the musty smell.
Even though the remote control did not work flawlessly for me, I would still recommend it for its impressive features.
