Design Impressions

Just like my Seavon dehumidifier review, this design impression will be honest as well.

After taking the Seavon SN180 dehumidifier out of the box, the first thing that I noticed was how classy it looked. Unlike most other dehumidifiers on the market, the SN180 has a very sharp design. And due to its neutral color, it is easy to blend in with your interior.

The air vents are at the side of the dehumidifier, and the exhaust is at the back. The Seavon SN180 dehumidifier weighs only 4.8 pounds and can quickly move around the house. The exact dimensions are 16.5 x 9.8 x 7.5 inches. Due to the small size of the SN180, I recommend it for RVs.

Remote controller

The feature that lit my curiosity about this dehumidifier in the first place was the remote controller. I have seen a lot of home appliances with remote controllers before. But dehumidifiers with remote controllers are still pretty uncommon.

So, what can you do with the Seavon SN180 dehumidifier remote controller? 

• It helps to turn on/off the dehumidifier.
• You can use it to change the speed of the dehumidifier.

One of my biggest pet peeves about dehumidifiers is the noise level. If the noise level is too high, I cannot focus on anything else.

So, in other words, the SN180 offers an ultra-quiet operation. You can run it in your bedroom at night and will not even notice any noise.

The Seavon SN180 dehumidifier is suitable for dehumidifying 560 sq. ft. or below area. Due to 4th generation upgraded thermoelectric technology can remove around 26 oz. of moisture from the air every day. However, it is 70 oz. You only need to empty the water tank once every 2-3 days.

The working temperature for the SN180 is 59 °F – 104 °F. And it will not work under 50°F. Hence, I do not recommend this dehumidifier for winter.

I have a small storage area for Christmas supplies, paperwork, foam, fabric, batting, etc. Due to lack of space, I wanted a dehumidifier that is easy to fit in the room. But when I got the Seavon SN180 out of its packaging, I wasn’t sure if it would work well at all. But to my surprise, the Seavon SN180’s tiny body is filled with great features. Not only does the dehumidifier work as advertised. And the water tank container lid prevents spillage. And as this Seavon dehumidifier is compact and lightweight, I can quickly move it around without any difficulty.

I live in Texas, and the humidity gets extremely high, especially in summers. So, I decided to buy the Seavon mini dehumidifier for my bedroom and the larger one for my living room.
